Vacation Rentals in Golfito, Costa Rica

Katie’s journey in Golfito began over 30 years ago when she arrived by sailboat from California and quickly fell in love with the calm bay, lush rainforest, and welcoming community. What started as a stopover on a season of adventure became a lifelong home.  Establishing LandSea Services with moorings, Cruiser Support & a Clubhouse in 1994, the local connections and accrued experience forged a path to pioneering a successful property management and real estate office, a collection of vacation rentals and ultimately, a lifelong home on Golfito Bay.

Micke escaped Sweden's cold for a season in the tropical sun in 2005. Joining friends on adventures, he spent time in various "hot spots" including developing areas of Guanacaste, Santa Teresa, Puerto Viejo on the Caribbean, Bocas del Toro over the border.... and then, for his final month, he met a buddy in Golfito to explore the southern zone. It didn't take long to sense the possibilities here. 

 

Surrounded with such incredible and diverse nature and a welcoming community of locals - Not at all a touristy vibe. He settled easily into the laid back rhythm of this authentic port, partnered up with friends to buy a home and has spent 20 plus cold winters and now  the primary part of the year calling Golfito his home port.

Today, Katie and Micke are happy to share their love for Golfito and welcome guests to experience this special corner of Costa Rica for themselves.
